The Shanti Som Health and Beauty Academy, based in Cancelada near to Marbella, is set to become the premier health and beauty academy in Andalucia. The school runs a wide range of health and beauty courses carrying the highly recognised ITEC qualification. The Shanti Som Health and Beauty Academy is a continuation of the long established Christine Shaw Therapy School. James brings his health and fitness and personal training qualifications to the Academy and they will both be working hard to move the school forward and offer a wide range of courses. Become your own boss!
The courses that we offer at the Shanti Som Health and Beauty Academy allow students to gain a highly recognised qualification and to have the potential to set up their own business and career. the health and beauty industry is one of the most rapidly expandand and certainly one to get involved in during a recession! Those students studying at our Marbella ased health and beauty academy will graduate with all the knowledge they need to go into the 'real world' and work with patients. We're really excited about the variety of students that we will ebe able to attract, whether it be students loking for a full timecareer or as a top up course to their existing qualifications.

Press release and publicity
Last night (after my daughter Poppy had gone to bed!) I managed to sit down and write out a draft press release. Kezia has agreed with one of the big magazines here, Society Living, to place some adverts and they will give us some space for editorial. The basis of the press release was to explain the history and high credibility of the Shanti Som Health and Beauty Academy and to let readers know that Amanda and I have teamed up with Kezia and together we will all be running the Academy. If you don't live in Spain and manage to get a copy I will post the article on this blog so you can read it here. The main focus at the moment is to get the new website up and running, then we can do some marketing and point people towards the website. I think once we get some some marketing going that there will be a very positive response - I'm particuarly excited that the ITEC Reflexology Course will be very popular. If I get time later I'll post a few details about the Reflexology course, if you're livng near to Marbella and would like to learn a new therapy then it could be of great interest to you!

New ITEC health & beauty courses starting in September.
The new term starts in September, so at the moment we are busy planing for the new intake of students and also organising some marketing material and campaigns in order to promote the Shanti Som Health and Beauty Academy to people on the Costa el Sol. We already have a number of students that have signed up to courses starting in September, which is great news as it is still early and we hae not placd any adverts or held one of our open days yet. We're all really excited about the potential for the academy. The Shanti Som Health and Beauty Academy is a continuation of the Christine Shaw Therapy School. Christine has had a great influence on the health and beauty industry over many years, but has decided to take a step back and enjoy a quieter life. So now, we (Amanda, Kezia and myself) are looking forward to a new era and are determined to create a wonderful teaching enironment here in Marbella. In upcoming posts I will keep you informed on the progress of our students and the courses that the school has to offer, such as holistic massage, reflexology, beauty therapist, beauty specialist and many more - while in the meantime, if you have any enquiries about courses please feel free to contact us!
